Welcome to the 10,000 Degrees Childcare Scholarship application.

Overview

10,000 Degrees provides scholarships to individuals with significant financial need who exhibit a strong desire to go to college, and who have the perseverance necessary to graduate from college and accomplish their educational goals.

10,000 Degrees proudly provides the Child Care Assistance Scholarship for parents that reside in Marin County. The scholarship pays for a portion of a child's day care while the parent is enrolled in college. The Child Care Assistance Scholarship is available for the months of September through May. The scholarship is renewable annually, provided the parent maintains satisfactory progress.

In addition to this application students must submit:

Transcripts representing all undergraduate coursework (Unofficial is acceptable).
FAFSA Submission Summary
Provider Verification form completed by the child care provider (available on our website www.10000degrees.org/childcare-scholarship).
Child Care Provider Guidelines signed by you and the child care provider (available on our website www.10000degrees.org/childcare-scholarship).
Your child care provider’s IRS Form W-9. It must be signed!
A copy of child care provider’s license (ask your provider).

If eligible, you are required to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before applying for any 10,000 Degrees scholarships. The FAFSA is found at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

If you are not eligible to file the FAFSA, you must fill out the California Dream Act Application if eligible. The California Dream Act Application is available online at www.caldreamact.org

In order to complete your application, you must submit the Student Aid Report (SAR or CAL SAR) which you receive after filling out either the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA). Please note: if you do not attach the SAR form, you will be disqualified from receiving a scholarship unless there are specific circumstances preventing you from doing so.
